Scientology and human rights? A joke. A sad joke

We'll take the Human Rights abridged version from a scientological site , and comment how much the scientology cult does disrespect these human rights.

Bold characters below are for the human rights such as copied from the scientology site :

humanrightsandtolerance.org (add "www".before copying the link in your browser to get it running)

1. Every person is born free and equal in dignity and rights.

That's not true for Hubbard and scientologists. These people estimate the value of someone by his fortune and successes in life (ref: Hubbard policies on management, as well as his book "Science of survival".

They call "Degraded Beings" 17 persons out of 18. See for ref: Volume OEC 0 page 389-390 "Alter-is and degraded beings"

2. Every person has human rights regardless of race, sex, language, belief or religion.

That's not true for Hubbard, who was a racist per many counts, and for scientology, who keeps on using "special processes" for South Africaans. Further, you can observe scientology: apart Jesse Prince, no on black person has been called to very high positions there in 52 years.

3. Every person has the right to life, liberty and security.

In scientology, you can't be secure. The cult says that you should be like Hubbard said, and never vary. If you are a staff and vary, they'll send you to a private gulag called the RPF. Excellent study of the RPF by one of your great collegues: Stephen A. Kent,

www.uni-marburg.de/religionswissenschaft/ journal/mjr/kent.html

4. Slavery and the slave trade are prohibited.

Well known exemple of slavery are demonstrated in the same document. I know personnaly more than one person having suffered of illicit prison private camps near to slavery, under conditions sometimes worse than the worse prisons. See
www.clambake.org/archive/ronthenut/tabayoyo.htm

5. No person shall be subjected to torture.

See above.

6. Every person has the right to recognition as a person before the law.

See L. Ron Hubbard ethics crimes and sort of "capital crimes" (called suppressive acts by scientology):
http://www.planetkc.com/sloth/sci/sp_rules.html, specially "bringing civil suit against any Scientology organization or Scientologist including the non-payment of bills or failure to refund" - that means that if the cult does not pay its bills, does not repay what it has defrauded, you're still "criminal" if you ask it through justice.

7. All persons are entitled to equal protection before the law.

see above. Scientologists are not supposed to have any protection of any law except scientology codes. When they dare as little as asking law protection, they are immediatley subjected to various criminal activities encourages and sometimes started by the cult.

8. Every person is entitled to the aid of law when not treated fairly.

idem. see above.

9. No person shall be subjected to arbitrary detention.

Idem: I've myself been subjected to such a short abritrary detention in France and in denmark (not for a long time, neither under physical guard, though that happened to many others, including being guarded into iron cages; see:
www.lisamcpherson.org/basement.htm

10. Every person is entitled to an impartial hearing.

It's impossible in scientology. Even under its own laws, the concept of attorney or counsels to defend a person incriminated does not exist. Arbitrary system without professional judges. Ref: Introduction to Ethics in Scientology, Hubbard.

11. Every person shall be considered innocent until proven guilty.

That's exactly the reverse in scn. I've been accused of various totally false actions, and have been unable to defend, since not the least favorable witness was allowed to the "jury". See how into the book Introduction to ethics in scientology.

12. Every person has the right to protection of his or her privacy.

Certainly not in scientology. Scientology "Ethics" section exerts fantastic pressures to get a number of deragotory facts and actions written by the person and by her relations. See for instance what denounciations the cult asks worldwide, so as to find out some despicable activities from his own members or its enemies. See the 16 languages denounciation website here:
http://www.rtc.org/matters/ethics.htm
(copy the link in your browser to get it functioning)

The actions disclosed are sometimes used to encourage the person to suicide. Here is one instance of such suicide provoked by scientology, leading 3 official members of the cult before the courts. see:
www.antisectes.net/suicide-roberto.htm . It is known since last week only (feb 2003).

13. Every person has the right to travel freely within a country and to leave and return to his or her country.

I witness that my ex-wife and myself, when we were going to Denmark to received upper "levels" of scientology that we had paid for long before, our ID cards and papers were confiscated by the organization as soon as we were there, and my wife and me have been subjected to direct interdictions to leave the country for some "technical reason" as scientologists call the fact to force a client to remain there paying some more. I'm far from alone having been subjected to such illicit arrests and relative emprisonment because I had no papers to come back home.

14. Every person has the right to asylum from persecution.
see above.

15. Every person has the right to a nationality.

that's okay for the cult. They don't care of the nationality, but they'll send their staffs wherever they want, from Siberia to South Argentina etc. Without asking their agreement. For months or years if they need to.

16. All adults have the right to marry of their own free will and to found a family.

Scientology forces young men and girls to marry if they want to go as far as taking the hand of their boyfriend or girlfriend. So, marry? Yes. And divorce later. Most scientologists go ahead for more problems than ever with their couples (exceptions exist, that's true). It ios also forcing some women to avoid having children and even, to abort (see:
www.scientology-lies.com/marytabayoyon.html

17. Every person has the right to own property.

Wrong for Scientologists: they get rid of YOUR property when you're about to leave without their "permission" (rarely agreed upon and without atrocious conditions). They do keep your own books or "course's packs" or "electormeters", they can go as far as forbid you to resell them.

See:
http://www.visi.com/~tdo/sid/00/04/27/1712248.html

18. Every person has the right to freedom of religion.

Untrue for scientology: as soon as they get you as a client (what else!), they'll do whatever they can so as to stop you to believe into anything else. This is indirectly derived from many hubbardian texts, but is very well hidden. There is, by instance, a list of question to "repair" a person, called Green Form 40, which asks directly for "other practices"[apart scientology], and forces the client to leave these "other practices, inclmuding catholic belief, psychology, or whatever). I've the document, see some parts below the
part of that text here:

19. Every person has the right to freedom of opinion and expression.

Try just once to express an opinion really different from Hubabr'ds one when a scientologist. And look: scientology is after me since two decades just because I dare to say exactly what I know from inside the cult (I was one of its best managers in France, from 1974 to 1982)

20. Every person has the right to freedom of personal assembly and association.

Impossible for scientologists: my own scientologist brother has not even the right to speak to me since 20 years now. Scientology calls that "disconnecting". See:
http://members.chello.nl/mgormez/childabuse/disconnect.html

21. Every person has the right to take part in the government of his or her country.

Yes, that's somewhate imposed by scientology for the few ones who are able to do something, but you've to hide the fact that you're a scientologist, in most cases.

22. Every person has economic, social and cultural rights.

!!

23. Every person has the right to work, to just pay, and to form and join unions.

Joining unions in a totalitarian group? It's totally forbidden by scientology. Same reference: Introduction to ethics in scientology, by Hubbard. Just pay? See above.

24. Every person has the right to rest and leisure.

Scientology staffs work as much as 350 to even 450 hours a month: it happened to me. For what a salary? Average is near 30 dolalrs a week plus food and very bad beds. Without social insuirances, without any true medical help when needed. See a staff work charge here:
www.antisectes.net/charity.htm

and conditions of health here:
www.xenutv.com/interviews/lawrence-freewinds.htm

25. Every person has the right to an adequate standard of living.

see what staffs say of their lives in the sea organization. And it's worse for children, who are given to "nannies" utterly incompetent - and sometimes even dangerous.

26. Every person has the right to an education.

The average level of scientology kids is extremely low. Even the manager (despote) Miscavige is a drop-out high school..See:
www.ifor.math.ethz.ch/~schlicke/doc/xenu/!!!FactNet!!!/Scientology/satanic1.htm?FACTNet

27. Every person has the right to participate in cultural activities and benefit from scientific advancement.

Try to recommend prudence about "blue asbestos", by instance, and you'll learn that if L. Ron Hubabrd did not declare it was dangerous, then, there is no problem. The amiral boat of scientology advanced org is full of that dangerous product, that staffs have handled bare handed and without a mask for weeks. Or try to recommend to avoid radiations: they'll answer that they have the niacin, the purification rundown, and that anyway, Radiations are water washeable (ref: "All about radiations", by Hubbard).

28. Every person is entitled to a social order in which these human rights can be realized.

no comment. Or :a social order which is only a terrible totalitarism Orwellian style...

29. Every person has duties to the democratic society according to the law.

Democracy was not only heavily frowned upon by Hubbard and Hubbardians, but is completely forbidden inside the cult. You'll never see one line of real critic inside, except in the secret services called "OSA", where such negative data are "handled" by specialists and sometimes, by mere criminals. Hubbard did even write at least two death sentences for 11 and 4 persons.

Find about that here:
www.antisectes.net/ordretuer.htm

30. No person can take away these rights and freedoms.

No person but hubbard, miscavige, and their dangerous clique of upper scientologists.

Some of the scientology Green form questions showing that having another belief at the same time as scientology becomes impossible, soon or late.
